How
do I get yoga classes at my school?
- Determine your budget
The first step is to prepare a budget.
Bent On Learning yoga classes cost $50
per class. Mats cost $8 each, plus a flat
shipping cost of about $25. Bent On Learning
charges an additional 10% coordination
fee, based on the total cost of the program.
- Contact Jennifer Ford at jennifer@bentonlearning.org
After you have established your budget,
contact Jennifer and she will prepare
a contract for your school and work out
any remaining details with you.
If
the school cannot afford to pay for yoga,
what can I do to get yoga classes at my
school?
- Research all your options:
Schools can apply for grants (generally
for Phys. Ed.) through the Department
of Education;
Approach the P.T.A. to raise money or
to reallocate funds in the existing budget
for a yoga program;
Rally your school to organize a fundraiser
to raise money for yoga classes.
- Apply to our Adopt-A-School Program
If none of the above options work, you
may apply to be “adopted”
through our Adopt-A-School Campaign that
occurs every year in the Fall. Click
here
for details.
